Music Director: St. John's Lutheran Church, a vibrant urban congregation in downtown Madison, WI with multiple musical groups (choir, handbells, brass) is seeking a music director to nurture the gifts and skills of members within the congregation and connect with other musicians in the broader community. 15 - 20 hours a week with a starting salary of between $15,600 - $22,360. Soprano Section Leader: The Parish Choir of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Madison, WI is looking for a soprano section leader. The Parish Choir is primarily composed of volunteers who sing at one Mass each Sunday morning at 10:00 am from September – May, in addition to special celebrations that happen throughout the year, including Christmas Eve & Day, Holy Week, and Easter. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. This position would ideally include attendance at weekly rehearsal as well as attendance at the 10:00 am Mass on Sunday mornings. Organist/Pianist: The Skaalen Home, a retirement community in Stoughton, WI is seeking an organist/pianist for its chapel worship services. Responsibilities include prelude/postlude music, responsive liturgy, and two hymns for the 30-minute Sunday worship service; monthly Wednesday morning communion services; afternoon Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve services; and Wednesday morning Lenten services. This position could be filled by one person, or shared by two. Skaalen has a large, formal chapel, with a quality Rogers organ and a well-maintained Kawai grand piano. Director of Music/Organist: St. Peter Catholic Parish, Ashton, WI (near Middleton) is seeking a part-time Director of Music and Organist. This a 0.25 FTE salaried position. Duties include accompanying all weekend masses and solemnities, directing the parish choir, and selecting music. Director of Music and Liturgy: St. Patrick Parish in Cottage Grove, WI is seeking a director of music and liturgy. Fulltime and parttime options are both available. The music director plays and sings for nearly all of the Sunday and Holy Day masses of the parish. The music director also leads both Adult and Children’s Choirs at St. Patrick, with practices on Wednesday evenings. Excellent keyboarding and choral direction skills are a must. Some ability on the organ is a plus. You will work closely with the pastor and staff to plan liturgies. Organist: St. John’s Episcopal Church, Dubuque, IA is seeking an organist to play on Sundays and occasional other services (e.g. Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, etc.) The organist will also support the St. John’s Choir on Sundays and preferably in weekly rehearsals. Experience in liturgical worship necessary, Episcopal experience a plus.
