Organist/Choirmaster: All Saints Episcopal Church in Appleton, WI is seeking a part-time organist/choirmaster. Our ideal candidate would be a skilled, faith-centered musician who has at least a bachelor’s degree in music, broad musical experience, and a deep appreciation for and knowledge of the Anglican musical tradition. Primary responsibilities will include: 1) playing the organ and leading the adult choir during one Sunday worship service per week and during special seasonal services as needed 2) rehearsing the adult choir, which includes paid choral scholars, at least once per week (this has taken place on Sunday morning before the worship service) with the potential to begin a youth choir 3) selecting the hymns and liturgical music for worship service 4) attending weekly staff meetings 5) playing for wedding and funeral services as needed. This is a part-time salaried position (at least 15 hrs/wk) with benefits to be negotiated. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience and within the guidelines of the Association of Anglican Musicians. Director of Music Ministry/Choir Director: St. Peter’s (Ashton), Middleton, WI with a long history as a deep faith community, is looking for a part time (4 - 8 hrs/wk) Director of Music Ministry. The candidate should be able: 1) To continue our rich tradition of musical excellence, we seek a creative and artistic Director to lead our choir in weekend and special liturgies, coordinate accompanists, and direct the choir during weekly scheduled rehearsals. 2) Teach a variety of musical styles including traditional and contempo- rary that integrates with our liturgical celebrations. 3) Be familiar with Catholic Liturgy history and practice and participate in the parish liturgy committee music selection and planning. Knowledge and experience in choral formation using the Roman Missal, including antiphons and chants is helpful as we expand our musical repertoire. Music Director: First Unitarian Society of Madison, WI is searching for a full time, experienced leader to coordinate and inspire the music ministry of this large and diverse congregation. This job includes administering all aspects of the music program, supervising music staff, conducting adult choirs, publicizing music events, overseeing the maintenance of instruments, maintaining and growing an extensive choral library, contributing as a collaborative performer as needed, and administering the FUS Music Budget. FUS resides in the historically recognized “Meeting House”, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, a member at FUS, and in our recently expanded Gold-level LEED-Certified Atrium addition. The two volunteer adult choirs, the teen choir, and two children’s choirs sing a wide range of repertoire. Music Director: St. John's United Church of Christ, Monroe, WI is seeking a professional in the ministry of church music to enrich the worship and spiritual life of a congregation. The 22 hour/week salaried position is responsible for preparing and providing worship service music by accompanying hymns on the organ or piano, rehearsing and directing of choirs and coordinating the music schedule of choirs, soloists or ensembles. Organist: Westminster Presbyterian Church, located in northeast Rockford, IL (near I-90 and 40 miles from Chicago suburbs) is seeking a part-time organist. Westminster is a thriving faith community with a proud 160-year history, a Holtkamp organ, and reputable music program. The Organist is responsible to plan, prepare, and provide organ and piano music for Westminster’s traditional worship service and other church functions, and work closely with pastoral staff, the choir director, and the church choirs. The Organist will play most Sundays of the year as well as special services including, but not limited to Christmas, Holy Week, and Easter. Bachelor degree in Music is preferred. Music Director: Holy Communion Episcopal Church in Lake Geneva, WI is seeking a Music Director to lead our Music Ministry. We are a small traditionally oriented liturgical parish looking for someone who can mix a bit of newer musical experience with our traditional liturgical service.
